Ad Analysis: Krispy Kernels "Meditation"

I love ads by different countries. The difference in humor and what other cultures find appealing and marketable are interesting and gives me a lot of inspiration for campaigns. This is an ad for Krispy Kernels, which is a nut brand like Planters Peanuts. This is by  Quebec agency Lg2 and called "Meditation", even though the youtube title says "Zen". Lg2 has done a complete campaign for Krispy Kernels, I just picked this one.

This television spot shows a group of individuals, kudos for a diversified group! (Claps) The group is meditating in a studio quietly, expect for a woman crunching on some Krispy Kernels. Her group mate telepathically asks her for some, which the woman replies no, because she would have to share. The group mate turns to the others and tells them there is a fire, in which the other two levitate out of the room.
This ad is obviously for adults. The creep factor is really out there, but in a good way. I'm inclined to think that Krispy Kernels is a snack food but not healthy, only because rarely do I see competition among people in a health food ad, its usually some sort of camaraderie or eco-friendly vibe. This ad isn't about saving the earth, its about the product being so damn good you are willing to stoop to new lows to get some.

Ideas that are kind of strange or quirky work best as commercials sometimes. If this was a print ad, image how confused the audience would be?
